Shaela Kay Roberts Horton has been serving families at Ott and Lee in Morton since February 2026. She is a 2023 graduate of East Mississippi Community College with a degree in Funeral Service and Mortuary Science.

A native of Quitman, Mississippi, she now resides in Decatur, Mississippi, with her husband Richard and their dogs, Draco and Hazel, and their cats, Boomer and Salem, who are their world. In her spare time, she likes to watch football, especially the Cincinnati Bengals, go on walks with her husband and dogs, and watch tv.

“In January 2026, I lost my mom who was my very best friend. It was the most difficult challenge I have ever had to endure. When we went to make her arrangements we were treated with the utmost professionalism and compassion. Because of this, I made it my mission to treat every family I encounter the same way.”
