Obituary

Ruthie “Recie” Wicker died Friday, May 6, 2022,  at the University Medical Center in Jackson following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Tuesday, May 9, 2022, from the chapel of the OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest with interment to follow in the Old Lutheran Cemetery, with Bro. Curtis Roland officiating.  Visitation was from 5pm-8pm Monday at the funeral home, and again Tuesday from 12pm till service time.

“Recie” was born on March 22, 1953, to her parents Buddy Carr and Bernice Richardson Carr in Scott County. She was a homemaker, loving mother, and grandmother.   She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  She had attended Bethel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Glenn Wicker of Pulaski, and 3 children; Mike Wicker (JaDon), Davey Wicker (Heather), and Robbie Wicker all of Pulaski, 2 sisters; Annie Jean Arinder, Gay Hall, and a brother; Willie Carr.  She also left behind 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Pallbearers are Eric Adams, Chris Eaves, Frankie Lee, David Goodson, Justin Shoemaker, and David Taylor
