Michelle Rickann Miller Sapp, 52, passed away at home on Sunday, May 30, 2021.  Visitation will be 12 Noon – 2 pm Tuesday at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS, followed by a graveside service at 2:30pm at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.

Rickann was born in Jackson, MS on August 23, 1968.  She was a graduate of Florence High School and continued her education at Hinds Community College where she received her nursing degree.  She worked at the Mississippi State Hospital at Whitfield for several years, and later working at the Jones County Health Department.  Rickann was a member at Ignite Church in Laurel, where she participated in many ministries of the church.

Rickann loved her family and friends very much.  She was always funny and fun to be around, she will be missed by anyone that knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Ray R. Sapp, Jr.; parents, Rickey “Yogi” and Debi Miller; daughter, Meagan Sapp; sisters, Renee (Michael) Bass and Samantha Miller; grandmother, Eloise Thornton; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Richie Miller and grandparents, Tom Thornton and Tommy and Bobbie Miller.
