Visit: Monday, September 19th from 9:30am-11am at New Liberty Bapt. Church.

Memorial service: 11am Monday at New Liberty Bapt. Church

Burial of ashes will be at a later date by the family.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Rheba Howell, age 73, a resident of Morton passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.  Visitation will be held 4-8pm Sunday, September 18, 2022 at New Liberty Baptist Church and Monday from 9:30am-11am at the church.  A memorial service will be held at 11am Monday, September 19, 2022 at New Liberty Baptist Church.  A private family burial will follow at another date.  Bro. Paul Smith and Bro. Mike Everett will officiate the service.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mrs. Howell was born in Scott County on November 16, 1948.  She loved to sew, quilt and make crafts.  Rheba enjoyed working in the yard with her flowers and watching the birds.  She loved to travel, and she had 3 fur babies that she loved to spoil, buttons, allie and doc; and socky the cat.  Her family meant the world to her and she will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Lee Irby and Josie D. Everett Irby; 1st husband, Jessie Dale Trest, 2nd husband, James Mikel Howell.

She is survived by her loving children, Rodney Dale Trest (Stacy) of Sandhill, Amanda Lynn King of Morton and Kassie Jo Burt (Woody) of Brandon; sister, Cathy Lee Irby Courtney of Morton; 7 grandchildren, Taylor Trest (Mariella), Shelby Trest Savell (Cody), Jessica Anderson, Cody McCurdy, Aron Burt (Chyenne), Robby Burt (Kyleigh) and Katie Burt; 2 great grandchildren, Jaxon Burt & Bryson Jackson and a host of friends.
