Louie Lavoyed Nolan of Brandon passed away at 89 on July 13, 2021.  He was born January 5, 1932 in Meridian, MS, the son of Vetoe and Mabel George Nolan.

Louie graduated from Central High School and graduated with a degree in Airline Management at Mississippi State University.  He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He worked at UniFirst Savings and Loan in Jackson the length of his career.  He was active in Civitan, serving as state president, and on the board of directors at Willowood Child Development Center. Louie was a founding member and former deacon of Brandon Baptist Church.

He is predeceased by his parents, his first wife Sandra Nolan, and his second wife Pattie Nolan. He is survived by sister Fay Planch, daughter Jennifer Kolb, son Greg Nolan and wife Karen, step-daughter Debra Provost, and step-daughter Teri Sorey and husband Jeff.  He has eight grandchildren, Matthew Kolb and wife Megan, Brittany Mann and husband Michael, Blake Sorey, Brock Nolan, Dana Veal and husband Zachary, James Provost, Jenny Nolan, Emily Kolb, and Andrew Sorey. He has five great-grandchildren, Ember Provost, Iris Kolb, Bennett Mann, Weston Veal, Ellis Mann, and Lilah Veal.

A visitation will be held on Friday July 23, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.  On Saturday July 24, 2021, a visitation will be held at 10:00 am followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am, both at Brandon Baptist Church.  Memorials may be given to Brandon Baptist Church Building Fund.
