Laura Gene Perkins

Laura Murphy Perkins, 72, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS.  Laura was born on November 5, 1948, and raised in Brandon, MS.  She moved to Jonesboro, Ark. In the early 1970’s where she worked for a furniture company.  She moved back to Brandon in the 1990’s and spent the rest of her life caretaking and sitting with the sick and elderly.

Laura is preceded in death by her father JC Murphy; mother, Mary Maxine Massey; and sister, Doris Murphy Ellzey.  She is survived by a brother, Don Murphy; sister, Kathy Murphy Driskill and brother, John Murphy.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
