Keith Clair

Keith Channing Clair, age 58, a resident of Flowood, MS passed away January 8, 2021 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. A private family funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. All are welcome to attend the visitation; we will ask everyone that attends observe social distancing and please wear a mask. Mr. Clair was born on June 18, 1962 in Jackson, MS to Norman Lester Clair and Essie LaPointe Ryals. Mr. Clair attended McClure Academy and graduated there in 1980. He walked on at Hinds Jr. College with ½ scholarship in Football and ½ scholarship in Baseball. He transferred to Mississippi State University. He returned to Hinds to finish his associate degree and then transferred to Belhaven College and majored in History. He worked 9 years at Andrew Jackson Life Insurance Company. Mr. Clair started working for Ergon in 1993 and became Vice President of Real Estate. He will be remembered as a friend to everyone and an avid fan of Mississippi State University. He enjoyed coaching his children in sports and watching them play the games he loved. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him. Mr. Clair was preceded in death by his father, Norman Lester Clair. Mr. Clair is survived by his children, Matt Clair and Kat Clair; mother, Essie “Sassy” Ryals; brother, Mike (Jerri) Clair; niece, Sarah (Joseph) Martin; great nephew, Knox Martin; goddaughter, Gracie Madalyn Awabdy; and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jackson Heart Foundation or any Youth Sports Program.
