K.E. Prestage

Kavanaugh “K.E.” Edmond Prestage, age 97 passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023, at the MS State Veterans Home in Jackson.

A Celebration of K.E.’s Life will be 12:00pm Wednesday, March 29, 2023, with Brother Joey Griffin officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Charles Prestage, Mike Prestage, Milton Stewart, Noel Breedlove, Barry Prestage, and Mason Prestage.

K.E. was born in Lena, MS on March 19, 1926. He served his country in the Army during WWII. He retired from Deviney Construction after 36 years.

K. E. was preceded in death by his parents, John and Tressie Shoemaker Prestage; The Love of His Life wife, Mae Ola Prestage; son, Calvin Prestage; daughter, Brenda Prestage; brothers, Robert, Eugene, Lamar and Adin Prestage; and sister, Evon Stewart.

K.E. is survived by his son, Danny Prestage and wife Janice; daughter, Betty Logan and husband David; daughter-in-law, Janette Prestage; five grandchildren, Barry, Kristy, Jeff, Sherry, and Mandy; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; brother, Aubrey Prestage and his wife Alice; sisters, Louise Isonhood and Linda Hearst and her husband Lenny; a host of other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or The American Cancer Foundation.
