Joetta "Jodee" Walley

Mrs. JoEtta “JoDee”  Salinas Walley, age 65, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

A Celebration of her Life will be Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 4:00pm at Crossgates United Methodist Church with Rev. Trey Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00pm at the church until service time.

She was born in Biloxi, MS on June 19, 1953. JoDee was a member of Crossgates United Methodist Church and was the Director of After School Programs for the Rankin County School District. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and she truly loved the beauty of the beach. JoDee was a loving and devoted wife, mother, MiMi, daughter, sister, and friend.

JoDee is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Charles Walley; children, Christina Walley Hidalgo and Christopher Walley (Misti); mother, Claries Salinas; brother, Ysidro Salinas (Stacey Gong); grandchildren, Curtis Hidalgo, Nathan Hidalgo, Eli Walley, Braxton Walley, and Charleigh Walley; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sarah Cannon Fund at The Community Foundation(sarahcannon.com), Batson Children’s Hospital, or Crossgates United Methodist Church.
