Jimmy Prestage

Mr Jimmy D. Prestage, age 61 and  a resident of the Wicker Mill community, passed away on Friday at his home surrounded by family after a battle with cancer.

Visitation will be on Sunday June 21, 2020 from 5pm to 8pm at Lorena Baptist Church.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday June 22,2020 at Lorena Baptist Church, with burial in Old Luther Cemetery.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents,Murry and J. D. Prestage ; and four brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughter, Amanda McDill (Timmy) from Forest MS.; son, John Prestage (Becky) from White Oak MS.; five grandchildren, Peyton McDill, Nathan Prestage, Morgan Prestage, Brennan McDill and Noah Prestage.; one sister, Algie Stewart; four brothers, Willie Prestage, Jessie Prestage (Dorothy), Roger Prestage (Barbara) and Bill Prestage ( Paula).

Jimmy was a member of Lorena Baptist Church where he loved to sing; he was a member of Homewood Volunteer Fire Department for twenty four years, Jimmy enjoyed woodworking, fishing, but spending time with his family brought him great joy.

Funeral services are entrusted with Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Homewood Volunteer Fire Department.
