Jerry Burke

Mr. Gerald "Jerry" D. Burke, age 77, of Brandon, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the UMMC Hospital in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be 11:30am Thursday, April 22,2021 from Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with Rabbi Caroline Sim officiating. Visitation will start at 10:00am and conclude at 11:15 am. Burial will be 2:00pm at the Mississippi Veterans Cemetery in Newton, MS where military Honors will be rendered by the United States Army. The Patriot Guard Riders will Honor Jerry by providing Mission Support  from the beginning  to the end of the service. The Patriot Guard Riders will also serve as pallbearers and provide escort to the cemetery. Jerry was born in Chelsea , MA on February 12, 1944 to the late William Burke and Rose Burke. Jerry is survived by his wife, Marilyn Burke; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Randy and Sue Burke; grandchildren Sarah Elizabeth Burke and Emily Claire Burke; siblings, Robert Burke ( Rose Marie), Elizabeth Havens, Nicholas Burke (Nancy), and Joseph Burke ( Roberta); sister-in-law, Priscilla Burke; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 3 siblings, James Burke, Marjorie Parsons, and John Burke.
