James Franklin Carpenter, 78, of Houma, LA and formerly of Brandon, MS, passed away on September 13, 2020 in Houma, LA. A private graveside service will be held for the family. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Mattie O. Carpenter; son, Barron Carpenter (Sue); grandsons, James Carpenter (Desiree) and Bryce Carpenter (Skylar); granddaughter, Brandy Lee Liner; 4 great granddaughters; brothers, David and Thomas Carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Maxine Sessum; parents, Thomas and Eunice Carpenter; and brother, Grady Carpenter.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be deeply missed.
