Hubert “Buddy” Nelson Berry

Mr. Hubert “Buddy” Berry, age 84, born in Sarah, MS but passed away at the MS Veterans Home in Kosciusko on Thursday, June 25, 2020.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mr. Berry was born October 29, 1935.  He proudly served in the United States Navy.  Buddy was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Operators Union #406.  He traveled all over this country working.  He grew up in a very loving family.  Buddy also enjoyed working on and redoing Volkswagen cars.  He loved his family very much and enjoyed traveling all over the United States watching his grandson play baseball and he enjoyed every minute of it.  Buddy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.  He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Coaton Berry; parents, Nelson Berry and Mable Tulley Berry; siblings, Tom Berry and Jabo Berry.

He is survived by his children, Robert Berry and wife, Wanda of Lena, MS and Amy Berry Baker of Pearl, MS; 5 grandchildren, Brian Sakcriska (Lacey) of Brandon, Tyler Berry (Krista) of Brandon, Stephanie Purvis (Blair) of Brandon, Keetra Berry (Renee) of Pelahatchie and Kristen Mitchell (Micheal) of Vicksburg; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Ann Murphy (Conrad) of Austin, TX, Mary Scoggins (Joel) of Atlanta, GA, Duley Berry (Carol) of Crenshaw, MS and Lowell Berry (Tootsie) of Las Vegas, NV  and a host of friends.
