Harold Lanier (Bubba) Gough, Jr., age 73 of Pelahatchie MS joined Jesus on Monday, October 4, 2021. He was born in Meridian, MS on March 12, 1948 to the late Harold L. Gough, Sr and Sarah Elizabeth (Sally) Sikes Gough.

Visitation will be held on Thurs. Oct. 7, 2021 from 11am-11:45am at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 12pm on Thurs. Oct. 7, 2021 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS. Graveside Services will follow at 2:30pm on Thurs. Oct. 7, 2021 at Louin Cemetery in Louin, MS.

After graduating from Meridian High School in 1966, Harold began a career with AT&T, where he worked until his retirement in 1998. After retirement, he started his own lawn care business which he enjoyed very much for about 8 years.  Given his appreciation of a well-manicured lawn, he worked tirelessly on his own lawn and those of his customers and neighbors.  He loved meeting new people and sharing his knowledge of many things.  Being especially handy with small engines and landscaping, he was a true handyman and had a way of sensing who may need his help in the community so he could offer his time and knowledge.  He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and camping, and had a way of making friends where ever he went.

A devout follower of Christ, he was a member of Andrew Chapel Community Church in Brandon MS where he enjoyed singing in the choir and fellowshipping with his church family.

He is survived by a large extended family including his loving wife of 33 years, Rhonda Grayson Gough; daughters, Stacy Gough Roberson (Chad), Paige Gough Moon (Si); sister, Judy Gough Stewart; brothers, Mickey Gough (Jackie), and Robin Gough (Debbie); grandkids, Jacob Thomas (Samantha), Lane Weathers (Kallie), Seth Moon, Dally Moon (Kayla), Gabe Moon (Victoria); great grandkids, Katie Jo Thomas, Mason Tyler Thomas, Piper Jane Thomas, Braxton Lee Weathers, Raelyn Gail Moon; and very special great niece and nephew, Rivers and Laken Winn; and large extended family including a host of many other well-loved nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express sincere appreciation to his caretakers for their excellent care and devotion. Special thanks to his long-term caregivers, Joyce McMillan, Virginia Vickers, Patience Sherman, and Sunni Dorman.  Your love and compassion will never be forgotten.

Pallbearers will be Seth Moon, Eric McMillan, Jacob Thomas, Lane Weathers, Jody Winn, and Jamie Winn.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you plant a tree in his honor that will serve your family for years to come or give to Andrew Chapel Community Church.
