Eva White

Pelahatchie, MS

Mrs. Eva Joyce White, age 80, passed away on July 27, 2022, in Flowood MS. Eva was a longtime resident of Pelahatchie MS. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, where she regularly attended. People still speak of how well she taught Sunday School for years.

Eva was born September 24, 1941, in Tupelo MS and graduated from Tupelo High School in 1959. She moved to Pelahatchie MS in 1969.

Eva Worked at M&H manufactory for many years. She loved her job and all the wonderful friends that she met while working there. A short time later she landed a bookkeeping job at willowood Developmental Center and worked there till her retirement.

She was a good Christian woman who loved the Lord and her church family so very much. She enjoyed reading, however after a stroke in 2003 the only books you saw her reading was her bible and daily devotional. She loved spending time with her family and loved hosting Christmas parties, watching her shows on TV was one of her past times.

Eva is survived by her sons Joey White and Mark White of Pelahatchie; one sister, Norma Ray Presley of Tupelo, MS; two brothers, Larry Presley of Tupelo, MS; James Roy Presley, of Guntown MS; grandchildren, Brady White, Ethan White Chance White, Adam Champion, Jordan Bishop, Caitlin Bishop,Christal Robinson, Britany Smith, and Cory Walsh, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, Christine and Noah Presley, brothers, Arnold Presley, Harold Presley, Bobby Jean Presley; sister, Mary Jo Schaeffer, husband Oppie Ray White; sons Johnny Bishop, Donnie White; daughter, Charlotte White.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS and Sunday, July 31, 2022, from 1:00 to 2:00pm at Eastside Baptist Church, with the Funeral Service at 2:00pm at the Church. Bro. Robin Brumfield and Bro. Parker Jones Officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers, Brady White, Ethan White, Chance White, Adam Champion, Austin Brunt, and Brandon Smith.

The family wants to thank everyone for the calls, visits, food, and prayers during this difficult time.

Funeral Services are entrusted with Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS.
