Ella Sumrall

Mrs. Ella Wese Sumrall, age 94, a resident of the Polkville community passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at home. Born to Sidney and Mary Fortenberry Beatty. Ella was an only child, she married C.L Sumrall and started their family and lived most of her life in Polkville, MS.

After retirement, Ella’s pass time was gardening, shopping, going out to eat and spending time with her family brought her great joy.

Preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Mary Beatty, two daughters, Vanetta McGhee and Beverly Lawson; husband, C.L. Sumrall.

Survived by two children, daughter, Carol Meadows and son James (Brenda) Sonnengerg; thirteen grandchildren; thirty- nine great grandchildren and twenty great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Polkville First Baptist Church on June 5, 2021, from 4:30 to 8:00 pm.

Funeral services will be at Polkville First Baptist Church on Sunday June 6, 2021 at 11:00 am, with Bro. Will McNeese Officiating.  Interment will be in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are, Alburn Beatty, Robbie Anding, Tim Rogers, Sidney Meadows Jr., J.A. Shoemaker and Grayson Craft.

Funeral services were entrusted with Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS.
