Donald P. Hatch, 88, of Morton, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the Collins Veterans Administration Nursing Home, Collins, Mississippi. He was born Tuesday, March 14, 1933 at Kalem, Scott County, Mississippi.

Donald was born to Willie P. Hatch and Beatrice Hatch Stevenson. He attended school at Morton High School and graduated in 1951. He attended East Central Junior College for a short time and then joined the United States Air Force in 1952 and served for four years. He was a longtime member of Morton United Methodist Church. He was a very successful car salesman for Morton Motor Company and was also a bookkeeper for Ed Davis Chevrolet. He had a love for gardening and yard work.

Donald overcame Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma two different times. His faith was very strong during those difficult times.

He was preceded in death by his parents Willie P. Hatch and Beatrice Hatch Stevenson; step-father: J.R. Stevenson; brothers: William Hatch and Billy M. Hatch and brother; Jimmy Dale Stevenson.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years: Dora Dean Hatch; children, Ricky D. Hatch (Linda), Steven H. Hatch (Jackie), Brian B. Hatch (Meignon), Alan D. Hatch, and C. Scott Hatch; ten grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
