Daniel Webb

May 12, 1958 — September 2, 2021

Brandon, MS

On May 12, 1958, the world received a special gift, the most amazing man who loved and was loved, who cared deeply for his family and friends. Now Heaven has gained this great man back and he is being held by God’s loving arms and is in the presence of his forever love.

Daniel “Bo” Webb of Brandon, Mississippi, left this Earth to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 2, 2021. Visitation was Thursday, September 9, 2021, 5pm-7pm. Celebration of Life was Friday, September 10, 2021, at 2pm at the Ott and Lee Funeral in Brandon, Mississippi.

Bo was born at the Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. He traveled all over the country in his early childhood, ultimately becoming a long-time resident of Rankin County, Mississippi. He was a member of Flowood Baptist Church and attended Pinelake Church when he and his family moved to Brandon, Mississippi.

He spent his life serving and protecting community. He was proud of his military service. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp, enlisting when he was seventeen years old. He had a long and distinguished career in law enforcement. It began with the Flowood Police Department. He graduated from the Police Academy in 1978. He also served with Brandon Police Department, Richland Police Department, Hudspeth Police Department, and UMMC Police Department. He retired in 2014 to spend more time with his family.

He was a very active dad, coaching his son’s baseball team and his daughter’s softball teams. Fishing was a relaxation, and he was teaching his grandchildren. He was an avid reader, countless books over the years. With many vacations, he was always the driver, even on long trips to our yearly Tahoe destination as he liked the “scenic” view. And it was beautiful. He loved spending time and cooking with family and friends. He loved playing with his grandsons and taking all the fun road trip adventures.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Williams Webb, of Brandon, Mississippi, who was his childhood sweetheart, best friend, soulmate, and the love of his life. At age 12 the two met and became inseparable. They shared the love of a lifetime. Two children, Brent Maloy of Brandon, Mississippi and Brittany Webb of Brandon, Mississippi; Two grandchildren Gunnar and Beckett; Brother Byron Webb of Richland, Mississippi; Sisters, Lyla Pinter (Philip) of Flowood, Mississippi and Venita Webb of Brandon, Mississippi; Stepbrother Bobby Bailey; Three nephews-Bill Williams Jr. (Rachel), Geordan Hall and Taylor Harris; Three nieces-Jennifer Pate (Reese), Magen Stegall (Brett) and Rian Hall; Great nephews and nieces-David, John, Hollyn, Trent and Wylder. Bo lived a beautiful life. He would light up a room with his huge smile and contagious laughter. He never failed to give you a huge bear hug filled with love. An amazing man who took care of his family, always there for anyone in need, a man you could always depend on. His love was endless and unconditional. He was the best husband, father, brother, uncle, great uncle and friend to all. He loved greatly and is greatly loved. He will be missed dearly, and his legacy will live on in the minds and hearts of all those who knew him. He will be forever in our hearts and memories…...we love you Pappaw!
