Dan Renfroe at the age of 65, departed to his eternal life on Monday, July 12, 2021 at his home in Brandon. He was born February 24, 1956 in Canton, MS to George Walter & Grace Seals Renfroe. He graduated from Pisgah High School in 1975 and attended Hinds Community College. Dan was a life-long resident of Rankin County. For the past 15 years, Dan worked at Mid-South Machinery as a heavy equipment parts specialist. He was previously employed with Puckett Machinery, Lyle Machinery and the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad.
Dan accepted Christ as a teenager; he and Tina were baptized together during their dating years. Dan enjoyed being outside and living in the country. He had a quiet personality with a very dry sense of humor and was never one to call attention to himself. If you knew Dan, you know he was always dressed impeccably no matter what he was doing. His starched shirts didn’t have the first wrinkle and could stand by themselves. Dan loved vintage cars, going to ‘Cruising the Coast’ and would be more than happy to show you his SSR. Dan loved his family and looked forward to spending time with them, especially his “kiddo”, Chris.
Dan leaves behind his wife, Tina Renfroe of Brandon; his son, Christopher Renfroe (Meagan) of Brandon; two brothers, Steve Renfroe (Millie) of Brandon; James Renfroe (Vicki); one sister Tammy Lawrence (Ricky); three step-children, Holli Garner, Dana Allen and Aaron York and step-grandchild, Ellie Allen. Dan is survived by a host of extended family.
Dan’s parents, George Walter & Grace Seals Renfroe precede him in death.
Pallbearers are Christopher Renfroe, Steve Renfroe, James Renfroe, Chase Renfroe, Ricky Lawrence and Aaron Hannah.
Visitation will be Thursday July 15, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a celebration of Dan’s life to follow in the chapel at Ott & Lee Funeral Home, 1360 W. Government St., Brandon, MS. Internment will be at the nearby Crestview Memorial Gardens, 1106 Star Road, Brandon, MS 39042 immediately following the service.
