Corvain Brantley

Corvain C. Brantley, age 82, and a resident of Forest died peacefully early Friday morning, March 24, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm Sunday, March 26, 2023, at the Forest Baptist Church with a Visitation at the church beginning at 2pm. Interment to follow the service in the Harperville Cemetery.  Rev. Reid Stevens, and Bro. Jason Tillman  will officiate.  The family will receive friends for Visitation at 4pm till 6pm Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest.

Mr. Brantley was born  October 23, 1940, to his parents  Corvain Brantley, Sr., and Ruth Wallace Brantley in Leake County.  He was an active member of the Forest Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon as well as serving on numerous committees over many years. Corvain was a man of great Christian character, who loved helping people,  He was a certified electrician and did electrical work all over this area.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and started almost every day with his friends at the Ott & Lee Coffee Club.  He loved his family and friends, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Corvain is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Brantley, and his children; Chad Brantley (Charity), and Heath Cooper (Renee) all of Forest; a sister, Susan Horn (Bobby) of Carthage, and a legacy of 5 grandchildren, Nate Kittrell, Joey Kittrell, Brandi Young, Keli Robertson, Eli Cooper, and 4 great-grandchildren, Remi Clare Kittrell, Reese Gressett, Heath Robertson, Cooper Robertson, and niece Tiffany Brashier, great nieces Brantley Callahan, Maggie Leach, great nephews Nic Callahan, and great -great nephew Cooper Callahan.

Pallbearers are,  Nate Kittrell, Nic Callahan, Eli Cooper,  Gene Robertson, J.J. Weatherford, and John Weatherford.  Honorary pallbearers are Robert Marvaggio, Glenn Edwards, Charles Henderson, and members of the Ott & Lee Coffee Club.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Forest Baptist Church Missions Ministry   491 East First Street Forest, MS 39074.
