Benjamin Stephen Hatfield, age 31, a resident of the world, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021.

Ben was born May 31, 1989, in Louisville, KY to Stephen Prichard Hatfield and Amy Carol (Smith) Spalding.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army, stationed in South Korea, and in the National Guard.  At North High School (Evansville, IN), he managed the football and boys’ basketball teams.  Ben passionately loved music (particularly classic rock) and was brimming with talent.  He was an exceptional performer with a beautiful singing voice.  Art and creativity came naturally to him, and with it, he excelled.  Ben will be remembered as a lover of life and was by far the best conversationalist ever.  He always had close friends whom he adored.  He truly did love his family, and they loved him. Ben will be greatly missed by all who loved him and knew him and his loving heart.

Ben was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Aline Smith, and his aunt, Denise Smith.

Ben is survived by his parents, Stephen Prichard (Laura Jo) Hatfield and Amy Carol Smith (Gregory) Spalding; brothers, Nicholas Spalding and Adam Spalding; grandparents, Ted and Janice Hatfield, Leonard and Phyllis Spalding; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
