Mrs. Alice Laverne Frith, gained her angel wings at the age of 93, a resident of Morton But she passed away at her daughters home in Pearl on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2021 10am-1pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2021 1:15 at North Morton Baptist Cemetery. Bro. Gary Wyatt will officiate the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Mrs. Frith was born in Smith County on February 14, 1928. She was proud to tell all she was a Valentines baby. Laverne loved sitting and watching all sports, football, golf, tennis, baseball and racing with her son, Ricky Lynn. She nurtured and cared for him for 15 years everyday and night until he went to walk with the Lord. She raised 7 children and cared for and loved her 18 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Laverne loved the Lord and was proud to be a member of North Morton Baptist Church. She loved all her friends there and they were like her family. Some of her hobbies were walking around the block, cross-stitching and she never left a leaf in her yard, she always raked and burned the leaves. She did laundry everyday and not any garment stayed dirty in her home. Laverne enjoyed going and having her nails done and loved the bright polish and wearing anything that sparkled.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clydell Frith; parents, Ras Berry Puckett and Mary Vidonia Smith Puckett; 3 children, Ricky Lynn Frith, Paul Douglas Frith and Randy Clyde Frith.
She is survived by her 4 children, Alice Dell Prestage (Aubrey) of Pearl, George Allen Frith (Charla) of TX, Glenn Edward Frith (Connie Sherry) of Morton and Connie Elizabeth Braswell (Billy) of Pearl; sister, Lilla Walsh of TN; 18 grandchildren, Mike Prestage, Tammy Lynn Baimbridge, Randall Frith (Tammy), Greg Frith, Becky Clark (Keith), Johnny Frith, Timmy Frith, Christy Frith, Jason Frith, Lorie Frith, Carleigh Waldrop (Matt), Kristi Baggett Braswell, Brandie Tucker, Angie Lee, Christy Havard, Mandy Smith, Nikki Leach, Ryan McGriff ; numerous great and great-great grandchilden and a host of friends.
Pall bearers will be Randall Frith, Greg Frith, Jason Frith, Mike Prestage, Tim May, Keith Clark, Clint Clark, Johnny Frith and Timmy Frith.
Memorials may be made in her honor to North Morton Baptist Church.
