Willie Jewell Hayman

Mrs. Willie Jewell Hayman, age 88, a resident of Morton, MS , passed away on July 31, 2023, at MS Care Center in Morton.

Born May 11,1935, to Elmore and Minnie Wade Hawkins in Scott County and lived all her life in Scott County. Jewell was married to the late Edward Hayman. Jewell and Edward had two children, son, Rev. Glenn Hayman, (Betty), daughter, Beverly Lack,(Jimmy); four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Jewell is preceded in death by her parents, Elmore and Minnie Hawkins; son, Rev. Glenn Hayman and husband, Edward Hayman.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Ott and Lee Funeral home in Morton, MS. There will be a Private Family Service at 2:30 Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Due to the wishes of Jewell and the heat there will not be a graveside service.
