Mr. Goolsby was born on November 25, 1946, in Canton, MS, to Luther
Harris Goolsby and Bernice Barrett Goolsby. Mr. Goolsby worked as a
plant manager for Multicraft for many years. He was also the owner of
East Rankin Tool & Die and was Vice-President of Process Engineering
Company, Inc. before retiring.
He was an avid hunter, and became an expert with his rifle and his bow.
During hunting season, he always traveled to the next big hunt he had
planned. This led him to travel all over the United States and even to
South Africa.
Raymond’s friends and family will always remember him as one of the
hardest working individuals you could ever meet. He was always there,
willing to help you with advice or a hand on any project big or small. The
only thing that topped his work ethic was his great love for his family and
friends.
Mr. Goolsby was preceded in death by his son, Hayden Ashley Goolsby and
his parents, Harris Luther Goolsby and Bernice Barrett Goolsby.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kieta Turner Goolsby; children,
Brad Goolsby, Heather (Johnnie), Joshua (Vickie) and Vance (Rhonda);
brother, Luther (Jewell); 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild with
another great grandchild on the way; beloved pet, Oscar; several nieces,
nephews and a host of friends.
