William Jerome Vanderberry

William Jerome Vanderberry, 79, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 6, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Fannin Baptist Church in Brandon, Mississippi. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.

Born on September 18, 1946, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, William was the son of the late William Edwards Vanderberry and Mary Laura Fields Vanderberry.

A devoted member of Fannin Baptist Church, William found great joy in serving others. He loved hunting and fishing, enjoyed a good game of cards, and was especially known for preparing meals for his church family, relatives, and friends. His generosity, kind heart, and willingness to help others will be remembered by everyone who knew him.

William was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Rae Vanderberry.

He is survived by his children, Woody Vanderberry (Lisa) and Jason Harris (Lory); his brothers, Paul Vanderberry and David Vanderberry (Cindy); his grandchildren, Logan Vanderberry, Lyza Vanderberry, Parker Harris (Sophia), Kylie Reed and Hannah Hodge (Steven); great granddaughter, Ava Hodge; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
