William Joseph “Joe” Polk, 76, passed away Sat. July 12, 2014 at the St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Mon. July 14, 2014 from 10am-11am at the First Baptist Church in Polkville, MS. Funeral Services are 11am Mon. July 14, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Polkville, MS with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling the arrangements.
Joe was born in Kilgore, TX and lived most of his life in Polkville, MS where he was a member of the First Baptist Church. He enjoyed working with flowers and going fishing.
Joe is survived by his sisters, Margaret Hales, Eugenia Jane Peterson and Sarah Frances Barber; niece, Gwen Hales; nephew, Jordan Hales. He is also survived by a niece and 5 nephews. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, D.W. and Esther Polk and a brother, John D. Polk.
