William Eugene Patterson

William Eugene Patterson, 93, passed away on Wed. May 13, 2026 in Jackson, MS. Graveside services are 2pm on Sat. May 16, 2026 at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling arrangements.

Mr. Patterson was born on Aug. 4, 1932 in Hinds County, MS to the late H.W. Patterson and Marjorie Gilham Patterson. He served his country during the Korean War with the United States Marine Corps and was a member of Pearl United Methodist Church in Pearl, MS. Mr. Patterson worked for the City of Jackson Tax Collector’s office where he met his wife, Geraldine. He also worked as a Director for the Crime Lab with Jackson Police Dept.

Mr. Patterson is survived by his two children, Jill Silvey, Doug Patterson (Donna) and three grandchildren, Jared Silvey, Jack Patterson and Nick Patterson. Mr. Patterson is also preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Patterson.
