Funeral services were held 10 am Friday, June 4 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home chapel with burial in the Springfield Cemetery. Visitation was held 5-8 pm Thursday, June 3 at the funeral home. Rev. Tommy Miles and Rev. John Miles officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Miles was a native of Smith Co. and a longtime resident of Morton. He was the son of Thomas William and Carrie Lula Miles. Mr. Miles was a Bus Driver for Continental Trailways, Inc. and Greyhound Bus Lines for over thirty years prior to retiring. After retiring he worked several years for B.C. Rogers Poultry Co. in Morton. He was a Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the VFW Post #5586 in Morton. He was a Mason and a member of the Masonic Lodge # 254 F&AM in Morton. He loved his family and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He was a member of Springfield Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.Mr. Miles was preceded in death by his daughter, Kim Miles Cavanaugh, parents, Carrie Lula and Thomas William Miles and his brother, Ted Miles.Mr. Miles was survived by his wife, Nina Cooper Miles of Morton; daughter, Mitzi Miles and Jeff Robertson of Brandon; sister, Nina Merle Eaglowaski of Massilon, OH; brothers, Howard Miles of Cooperville and Bob Miles of Polkville; grandchildren, Brandi Bounds of Missouri, Chris Cavanaugh of Morton, Brooke Robertson, Jantzen Robertson and Anna-Miles Robertson all of Brandon; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.Serving as Pallbearers were Chris Cavanaugh, Terry Miles, Steve Miles, Bob Miles, Jr., Robert Miles and Dewayne Lang.
