William Milton (Billy) Denson
1938-2025
A Celebration of Life for William Milton (Billy) Denson, 87 who died peacefully at home with his wife of 66 years by his side on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 in Hattiesburg, MS will be held 11am, Monday, July 7, 2025 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Cemetery.
The Rev. Vic Bowman will officiate and visitation will begin at 10 am until service time at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
A private graveside service for the family will be held at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Cemetery at 11am under the direction of Ott and Lee Funeral Home Morton.
Billy was born on July 5, 1938 in Canton, MS the first son of Milton Madison Denson and Beulah Todie Denson.
He grew up in Sandhill, MS, graduated from Pisgah High School as Valedictorian in 1957, attended Hinds Community College and proudly attended Mississippi State University where he majored in Agronomy Crops.
Upon graduation from MSU, Billy and Otis Faye moved to Columbia, MS where he began working for Pearl River Valley Electric Power Company until his retirement. In 1959, Billy married the love of his life, Otis Faye Williams of Sandhill, MS.
He was an avid outdoorsman and spent many happy days tending to his garden and hunting his land with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton M. Denson and Beulah Smith Denson.
Survivors include his wife, Otis Faye Williams; sons Mitchell Denson (Marie) and Jerry Denson (Roxanne), and daughter Kathy Ginevera Rayborn (Michael); grandchildren Stacy and Ashley Rayborn, Matthew, Brett, and Luke Denson, Millie and Mallory Denson; sister Jo Faye Kilpatrick.
Pallbearers will be Mike Rayborn, Jerry Denson, Mitchell Denson, Matthew Denson, Brett Denson and Luke Denson.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 251 Old Hwy 43, Brandon, MS 39047.
