George Wayne Norris, 70, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at his home.  A memorial graveside service will be held 11am Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.

Wayne was born in Laurel, MS on March 5, 1954, to George Norris, Jr. and Nita Mae Mathis Norris LeMoine. Wayne graduated from Florence High School and attended Hinds Community College.  He worked for Metal Builders Supply for 30 years and currently worked at True Roofing.  He loved being outside, fishing, boat riding, and also enjoyed hunting in his earlier years.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Beavers Norris; daughters, Toni Jones (Nathan) and Adrian Brewer (Kenneth Dunnam); step children, Richie Irby (Michelle), Scottie Irby (Tammy), Brennon Irby, Adam Irby (Alyson), and Kyle Irby (Rachel); sisters, Donita LeMoine Mims and Fran LeMoine Hudson; brother, Gene Norris; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Nita LeMoine and his grandparents, Roy and Lula Mae Mathis.
