Mrs. Wautese Crapps, age 70, a resident of Morton passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at University Medical Center in Jackson.  Graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Eureka Baptist Cemetery.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Wautese was born on November 26, 1952.  She loved to travel and before her husband passed they enjoyed going to the mountains.  Wautese loved to read, taking care of her animals and her job before her health failed.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Wesley Crapps; parents, Houston Ladd and Lena Coats Ladd; and uncle, GB Ladd.

She is survived by her daughter, Lanae Crapps Harper; siblings, Owanie Thompson of Raleigh, Sammy Ladd (Helen) of Morton and Billy Joe Ladd (Barbara) of Pelahatchie; and a host of other relatives and friends.
