Vernell Goldman

Vernell Goldman, a beloved husband, father, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2023, in Vero Beach Florida at the age of 86. He is survived by his adoring wife, Florence Isaac Goldman; children, Mark (Sylvia) and John (Annabelle); and sister, Syble Myers.

Vernell was born in Philadelphia Mississippi on May 2, 1937. His childhood in Neshoba County instilled a lifelong passion for enjoying outdoor activities, especially hunting, fishing, and cruising. Vernell and Florence first met while he was serving in the United States Army and stationed in Maryland. They formed a deep connection and went on to share a long and happy marriage of 64 years. He loved God, his family, and his country.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Cloys, Ladell, and Kermit Goldman; and parents Elton Goldman and Florence Rushing Goldman.

Visitation for Vernell will be held on July 15 from 9 to 10 am at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton Mississippi, with his memorial service to follow in the chapel at 10 am. Friends are invited to gather with the family to honor Vernell. The family asks that donations to the American Cancer Society be made instead of flowers or other gifts.
