Mr. Travis Hamilton, age 85, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Peach Tree Village Assisted Living in Brandon.  Visitation will be held 9am-11am Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Cross Roads Baptist Church.  Services will be held at 11am Tuesday at Cross Roads Baptist Church with graveside following in the church cemetery.  Bro. John Vaughn will officiate the services.  

Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton is honored to serve the Hamilton family.

Mr. Hamilton was born in Smith County on September 19, 1938.  Travis loved being outdoors working in the garden, planting trees and working in his flowers.  He could be seen cutting firewood from early morning to late evenings.  Travis was a member of the Masonic Lodge #276 in Pelahatchie.  He and his wife Margaret loved going on church trips and have made many memorable friendships through the years and enjoyed all the places they have been and  memories treasured together.  Travis loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Posey Hamilton and Lona Phillips Hamilton; siblings, Burl Hamilton, Junior Hamilton and Estelle Smith.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Hamilton of Pelahatchie; children, Mickey Hamilton (Monique) of Pelahatchie and Beth Wolverton (Tim) of Pelahatchie; 7 grandchildren, Misty Edwards (Brian), Heather Holmes, Bryan Hamilton (Meghin), Walter Hamilton, Alex Davis, Adam Wolverton and Abbi Walters (Cass); 7 great gradchildren, Camden, Kyndal, Dawson, Maddie, Michael, Maddox and Jack; and a host  of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Adam Wolverton, Cass Walters, Alex Davis, Walt Hamilton, Tyler McMain and Bryan Hamilton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Williams, James Bowman and David Bowman.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his honor to Cross Roads Baptist Church.
