Travis Lynn Evans, affectionately known as "Blue Boy," was born on April 9, 1955, in Laurel, Mississippi. He peacefully departed from this world at his home on August 24, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Travis was a devoted family man, with a deep love for his wife, Shirley Evans, of Morton. Together, they shared a beautiful life filled with laughter and companionship. He took immense pride in being a father to his two children, Travis Evans, Jr. and Tammy Dahbour, who, along with their spouses, brought joy to his life. He adored his five grandchildren, Chelsea Puckett (Shane), Lana Dahbour, Landon Dahbour, Bentley Ree Evans, and Lanson Dahbour, and delighted in the arrival of his great-grandson, Xander Wade Puckett; 1 sister, Linda Wicker; 1 brother, Jerry Evans.  He leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends who will remember him fondly.

Travis's passion for life was evident in his love for hunting and fishing, activities that allowed him to connect with nature and share wonderful moments with his loved ones. His engaging personality and kind spirit earned him the admiration of many, making him a cherished friend to those around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Travis Oree Evans and Inas Bell Evans, and his beloved son, Robert "Roehoe" Evans. Their memories will live on within the hearts of those he leaves behind.

A visitation for Travis Lynn Evans will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ott & Lee Funeral Homes in Morton, Mississippi. A funeral service will follow on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at the same location. Following the service, a graveside service will take place at Morton Memorial Gardens at 12:15 PM.

Travis Lynn Evans will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His warmth and spirit will continue to resonate through the lives he touched.

Pallbearers will be Zach Dahbour, Landon Dahbour, Lanson Dahbour, Jim Smith Isacc Stewart and Daniel Stewart.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Derrick, James Phipps, Dennis Bell, Jessie Evans, Herman Myers and Henry Moreau.
