Torris Ann Lyle

Torris Ann Lyle passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Brandon, Mississippi, at the age of 88. She was born on June 1, 1936, to Troy Henry Lyle and Hattie Troutman Lyle in the Clifton Community in Scott County, Mississippi. She was a resident of Pearl for over 50 years until her passing.

Ms. Lyle was a devout Christian and a member of Crossgates Baptist Church. She retired from Bellsouth after 25 years of service. An avid outdoorswoman and adventurer, she enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, working in the yard, and tending to her flowers. She was also an animal lover, especially dogs and birds.

Ms. Lyle is preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Hattie Lyle, and she is survived by her sister, Mary Louise Jones, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 am, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am in the chapel. Ms. Lyle will be laid to rest in Clifton Baptist Church Cemetery; there will be no graveside service.
