Mrs. Toni Hollingsworth Stewart, age 59, and a longtime employee of the Smith County Reformer, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Merit Rankin in Brandon.
She was born May 3, 1962 in Metairie, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana and was a longtime resident of Smith County, Mississippi. A 1980 graduate of Raleigh High School, she completed business courses, at Jones Junior College, where she received her associate’s degree. Favorite pass times were reading, and fishing, occasionally. She was a proud supporter of the Polkville Volunteer Fire Department since 1998, and served a long tenure as secretary. She was also a member of the Burns Homemakers Club, and attended Burns Baptist Church. She loved her family and friends and will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her father: Doyle Hollingsworth, and is survived by her husband of 39 years, Nathaniel Stewart and her mother: Mrs. Dean Austin Hollingsworth; many dear friends also survive.
Rev. Jeremy Price will officiate the graveside service at 11:00 am, on Thursday at the Lingle Cemetery in Smith County.
Lee Moore, Eddie Aust, Louie Seals, John Tyree, Nathan Mason, and Cody Harrell will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Polkville Volunteer Fire Department and the employees of Tadlock Stock Yard.
Memorial donations may be made to the Polkville Volunteer Fire Department.
Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest served the Stewart family.
