Tommy Lee Cook, born on August 26, 1952, in White Oak, Smith County, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, in Brandon, Mississippi. He was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent over 34 years working in maintenance at Trilogy Communications in Pearl, MS.
Tommy loved simple pleasures in life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He had a passion for hot rod cars and treasured the time he spent hanging out with his family and friends.
Tommy is survived by his loving son, Jerry Cook; his daughter, Brandy Crider and her husband, Thomas; and his sisters, Norma Ree Quick and her husband, Jimmy, and Linda Jane Bowman. He was also a proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Christopher Cook, Jacob Cook, Kelli Cook, Landen Crider, and Grayson Crider. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Ree Cook; his mother, Lillie Bee Frith Cook; his brother, Lewis Cook; his sisters, Daisey Bishop, Betty Cooksey, and Wanda Smith; and his brother-in-law, Billy Bowman.
Friends and family will have the opportunity to gather and pay their respects at a visitation on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ott & Lee Funeral Home, 1360 W Government St, Brandon, MS 39042. The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 14, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM with visitation starting at 9am. Burial will follow in White Oak Cemetery in Smith County, MS.
Tommy Lee Cook will be remembered as a man who valued his family and cherished the outdoors. His quiet strength, love of life, and warm spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
