Tom K. Richardson, 74, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018, at Manhattan Nursing Home in Jackson, MS. Funeral Services were 11am on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at First Baptist Church of Fannin with visitation starting at 10am at the church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Dr. Ron Bird and Rev. Steve Abercrombie officiated.

Tom was a member of First Baptist Church of Fannin. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor’s degree and retired due to Multiple Sclerosis and later Parkinson’s disease from Delta Airlines in 1984 as a Sr. Customer Service Agent. His wife Shirley was his caretaker for many years as she was a Registered Nurse. Tom enjoyed life to the fullest and had a knack for making the best out of the worst situations. He was loved and respected by all who know him.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Shirley T. Richardson; sisters, Fay Johnson of Hernando, MS, Labbone (Hugh) Corcoran of Canton, MS and Lynn (Don) Harrell of Vardaman, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Quida Cox Richardson. Pallbearers were Jim Reid, Larry Black, Eric Thornton, Butch Bates and Charles Hendrix. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church of Fannin, 101 Church Rd., Brandon, MS 39047.
