Teresa Hood

Teresa Denise Gilmer Hood, 61, passed away on Friday, Dec. 30, 2022 at Lakeland Nursing and Rehab in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023 from 10am-10:45am at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 11am on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.

Teresa was born on Nov. 12, 1961 in Jackson, MS. She was a former employee of Butler-Snow Law Firm, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Stribling Equipment Company. Teresa was a member of Brandon Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. Teresa was a very fun and loving person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially her "Magnolias".

She is survived by her spouse, Greg Hood; mother, Betty Means; step-child, Brook Hood; 3 aunts, Mary Leonberger (Billy), Cheryl Morgan and Patricia Ashley (Ed); uncle, Leslie Morgan (Grace) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews. Teresa is preceded in death by her father, Billy Oren Gilmer; brother, Billy Oren Gilmer Jr. and her uncle, Jack Morgan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brandon Baptist Church Building Fund at 100 Brandon Baptist Dr. Brandon, MS 39042.
