Tammy Glyn Thornton Bynum, 34, died Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Hospice Ministries, Inc., Ridgeland, MS after a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation was Sunday, June 13, 2010 from 5 – 8 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and Monday, June 14, 2010 from 10 am until the Service at 11 am in the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Home Baptist Church Cemetery near Mendenhall, MS.
Tammy was a life long resident of Rankin County, MS. She was born on February 10, 1976 to Bondy and Wilma Wade Thornton.
Tammy was a member of Robinhood Baptist Church. She was also an active member of The Smith County Genealogy Society until this year. She loved taking pictures, scrapbooking and crafts.
Survivors include her husband of six years, Michael Bynum, Jr. of Brandon, MS; her son, Austin Bynum of Brandon, MS; her parents, Bondy and Wilma Thornton of Brandon, MS; two brothers, Richie Martin of Brandon, MS and Larry Jones of Pearl, MS. She was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Jones.
