Sue Palmer

March 21, 1947 — July 13, 2010

Mrs. Sue Palmer, age 63, a resident of Morton, died Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Scott Regional Hospital. Visitation was held from 4pm-8pm Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and resumed 8am-9:45am Friday at the funeral home. Funeral services were conducted at 10:30am Friday, July 16, 2010 from the Springfield Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Marty Wilson and Dr. Wally Cason officiated the services. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton was is in charge of arrangements.

Sue Palmer was a very beautiful lady, both inside and out. She had a love for life and a great sense of humor. Sue was affectionately known as "Nanny" by her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She got enjoyment from playing the piano and she read her Bible daily. Sue took pleasure in watching her grandchildren grow up. She was so proud of her husband, Buford, her son, Mark and son Bryant, who predeceased her, her granddaughter Kaley and her triplet grandchildren, Peyton, Patrick and Paige. She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Preceded in death by her father, Wilbert J. Richardson and son, Bryant Henry Palmer.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Buford Palmer of Morton; son, Mark Palmer (Lee Anne) of Morton; mother, Maureen Cooper Richardson; sister, Sybil Richardson Dana (Richard) of Pelahatchie; sister-in-law, Loretta Palmer of Morton; niece, Holly Dana Davis of Okinawa, Japan; nephew, Brian Dana of Morton; 4 grandchildren, Kaley Celeste Palmer, Paige Elizabeth Palmer, Patrick Marcus Palmer and Peyton Livingston Palmer; numerous cousins and a host of friends.

Pallbearers were Colin Jack Gordon, Tim Sorey, Bruce McMillan, Jackie Bradford, Truman Manning and William Richardson.
