Stephanie Thompson of Brandon, MS, age 55, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, November 28, 2025. She was born May 14, 1970, in Brandon, MS, the daughter of Donnie Thompson and Diane (Davis) Thompson.
Stephanie graduated from Brandon High School, class of 1988.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donnie Thompson.
Stephanie was one of the sweetest souls you could ever meet. She had a gentle warmth that made people feel welcomed and cared for. She adored her son more than life itself. He was her world, her joy and the light she lived for every single day. She worked hard, loved deeply and showed up for the people she cared about with her whole heart. There were so many things she enjoyed and she lived her life in her own beautiful way. She loved the lake she lived on, spending time on her pontoon boat, soaking in the sun and the stillness. She also loved deer hunting, being out in nature, enjoying the quiet and sharing those moments with the people she loved.
Whether she was on the water or in the woods, she found joy in the simple things that made life meaningful.
Stephanie leaves behind her son, Garrett Manchester, mother, Diane (Davis) Thompson, sister, Donna Thompson, nephew Tyler Posey (Chelsy), nephew Connor Ford, great niece Addison Posey and great nephew Tripp Posey.
Ott & Lee Funeral Home, Brandon, MS, is in charge of arrangements.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service at Parkview Church of God, 577 John R. Junkin Drive, Natchez, MS, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Family friend, Chris Smith, will be officiating.
