Shirley Hammett

Shirley Ann Graham Hammett, age 81, a resident of Jackson, MS passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Diversicare of Meridian, MS. Visitation will be held from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hills Cemetery in Vicksburg, MS.

Mrs. Hammett was born January 1, 1941, in Vicksburg, MS to Clarence E. Lee Graham and Alice Hawkins Graham. She was married to Wade G. Hammett. Mrs. Hammett worked as a secretary for many years before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mrs. Hammett was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Gilbert Hammett; son, Ricky Allen Cousins; parents, Clarence E. Lee Graham and Alice Hawkins Graham; brothers, Bud Graham and Jerry Graham; sisters, Elizabeth Tanner and Betty Jean Hinson Carroll.

Mrs. Hammett is survived by her children, Sandra C. Pittman (Richard), Karen Lee Holton (Danny) and Russell Allen Cousins; grandchildren, Max Justin White (Brittany), James Cory White and Lindsey Breanna Kronenberger (Adam); many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
