Scot T Matthews

Scot T Matthews, 60, passed away on September 23, 2026, in Florence, Mississippi. He was born on May 23, 1966, in Jackson, Mississippi.

Scot loved Hot Rod Cars, watching NASCAR and Drag Racing. He was an Insurance Appraiser for many years with Mississippi Farm Bureau. Scot loved his dog Emily, affectionately known as “EM”.

Scot will be remembered with love by his family. He is survived by his daughter, Kylee Dickerson and son-in-law Cody; his father, Olif T. Matthews and his step-mother, Betty H. Matthews; and his brother, Ben Matthews. He is also survived by many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. May their memories of Scot bring comfort and peace in the days ahead.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carloyn Clark Matthews; his sister, Judy Gregg; his brother, Brad Matthews; and his uncles, David Clark and Tim Clark.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on September 26, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home- Brandon, 1360 W Government St, Brandon, Mississippi 39042. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 1207 MS-469, Florence, Mississippi 39073.

Scot will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him, and his memory will be carried forward by his family and friends.
