Sara was a proud graduate of Brandon High School, class of 1956. She began her professional journey serving as the secretary at Pearl Upper Elementary for many years, where her kindness and supportive nature made a lasting impact on students and staff alike. Later, she pursued a successful sales career that allowed her to indulge her passion for working with people, further showcasing her exceptional interpersonal skills.

An avid gardener, Sara's favorite pastime was tending to her flowers and nurturing her garden. This hobby was not only a source of joy for her but also a reflection of her nurturing spirit. She cherished the beauty of nature and often shared her love of gardening with friends and family.

Sara was the beloved daughter of the late Wes and Kate Jones, and the cherished sister of the late Jerry Jones and Mary Kate Coke. She was the devoted wife of the late Melvin Crosby and the proud mother of three children: Kay Crosby Phillips, who married Joe Phillips, and her sons Brad Crosby who married Kim Chandler, and the late Jim Crosby who married Gaye Gaines. Sara relished her role as a grandmother, and her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Jase and Joseph and his wife Allison, Tyler, Brittany, Bailey, Braden, Brady, and Cassie. She was also a great-grandmother to Ethan and Colton.

Sara Carolyn Crosby’s life was one of service, devotion, and love for those around her. Her legacy will be honored during a graveside service at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, Mississippi, on June 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Her family invites all those who knew and loved her to join in celebrating the remarkable life she led and the countless memories she created.
