Sammy C Holmes

Mr. Sammy C. Holmes, age 71, a resident of Carthage, formerly of Morton, MS, passed away on  Monday, February 12, 2024 in Jackson, MS. Born on April 6, 1952 to Blant and Alice Kyzar Holmes. Sammy enjoyed working, he worked for Midland Container now known as PCA for many years before his retirement. Family was important to Sammy, spending time with his grandkids brought him great joy.

Sammy is preceded by his parents, Blant and Alice Holmes; brother, Bobby Holmes; sister Diane Thomas. He is survived by five children, Mike Holmes, Nicky Holmes, Curtis Holmes, Toby Holmes, and Roxie Holmes; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will be, 10:30am to 1:50 pm Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS.  His Funeral will follow at 2:00pm  in Ott and Lee Chapel. Interment will be at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.
