Sally Christine Dubose, 79, a resident of Morton died Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Regency Hospital in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Thursday, April 8 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with burial in Sims Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 Wednesday, April 7 at the funeral home in Morton. Rev. James Otis Walker will officiate the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton will be in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Dubose was a lifelong resident of Scott Co. She was the daughter of Caley Art and Lorraine Walker. She worked 30 years in the Poultry Industry for B.C. Rogers before retiring. Mrs. Dubose was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her family very much cooking and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She especially loved her grandchildren. Mrs. Dubose enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mrs. Dubose was preceded in death by her parents, Caley Art and Lorraine Walker; husband, Daniel H. Dubose; brothers, Caley Art Walker, H.C. Walker and Thurston Walker; sisters, Evelyn Scales, Mabel Bassett and Scarlet Lee Foreman.

Mrs. Dubose is survived by her children, Peggy Farley (Jack) of Pittsburg, PA, Faye Reeves (Danny) of Morton, John Wesley Dubose of Morton and Danny Dubose of Morton; sister, Mary Jewel Thornton of LA and brother, James Otis Walker of Mendenhall; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Danny Reeves, Jr., Timmy Foreman, Terry Foreman, James Daniel Dubose, Chris McKinney and Randy Bassett.
