always in charge of caring and cooking for her siblings. She always had a nurturing and loving spirit starting at a young age. Ruby attended Burns school where she caught the eye of her future husband , John Wedgeworth who was currently driving the school bus. Ruby and John spent 61 loving years together as husband and wife and as best friends. Their love for each other was strong and evident by all in their presence. They enjoyed attending church at Trenton Pentecostal . She accepted the lord as her savior on April 5, 1982 and was Baptized shortly after. She loved her pastor and her church family tremendously. After church , she and John would be seen holding hands as they enjoyed their Sunday lunch dates.
Ruby dearly loved everyone but especially her own children. After raising her daughter Tammy, son Dewayne and grandson Josh, she and John were delighted to add 2 more grandsons, Zach and Derek, and 5 great grandchildren who continually added to her joy over the years as their “Nannie”, She loved spoiling her family especially with delicious home cooked meals
Everyone had their favorite dish but her fried chicken was requested by all.
Other hobbies included sewing, quilting, canning vegetables, reading her bible, playing dominos and phase 10 cards.
