Ruby Bridges Tullos, born on May 27, 1940, in Thomastown, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, in Brandon, Mississippi. She lived a life full of love and kindness and was known by all who knew her as the sweetest, loving, and generous person you could ever meet.
Ruby devoted much of her time and energy to her faith and community. She was a dedicated member of Crossgates Baptist Church and was very active in the Prison Ministry. For many years, she taught Sunday School not only at Crossgates but also at Oakdale Baptist Church, sharing her love of teaching and guidance with many.
After many years of working at Vickers in the Quality Department, she brought her skills to T&S Precision Manufacturing which her husband and son started in 1984 a place where she made lasting contributions throughout her career. Beyond her professional life, Ruby's heart belonged to her family. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly, cherishing every moment spent with them.
Ruby is survived by her son, Michael David Tullos and his wife Dolly. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Nikki Raney and her husband David, and Justin Tullos and his wife Stephanie. Her great-grandchildren, Miriam Raney, Lydia Raney, Brielle Raney, and Graham Tullos, will always remember her warmth and love. She is also survived by her sister Linda Clark and her husband Leland; her brother-in-law James Tullos and his wife Ann; her sister-in-law Sue Tullos; and several nieces and nephews who will all miss her deeply.
Ruby was preceded in death by her father, Emmett David Bridges; her mother, Louise Odom King; and her husband, George Tullos.
Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Ruby’s life at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Mississippi. Visitation will be held on April 12, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM, followed immediately by the funeral service at 3:00 PM, 1360 W Government St. Brandon, MS 39042. Burial will follow at Oakdale Baptist Church in Brandon, MS.
Ruby Bridges Tullos touched many lives with her kindness, faith, and love. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her most.
