Ruby Evelyn Speaks, 90, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.
Mrs. Speaks was born on October 17, 1933, in Jackson, Mississippi. She was a lifelong resident of Brandon, Mississippi. She was loved by so many, and she was best known for her kind heart and genuine love for people. She had a personality like no other and loved to laugh, and she would light up a room just by being present. Her faith was most important in her life. One of her favorite things to do was play the piano and sing hymns. Not only was she a wonderful mother, but she was also an amazing grandmother. She dedicated the last 25 years of her life to her 2 grandchildren. She was a true blessing and a godly gift to this world.
She is survived by her son, Cliff Speaks and daughter-in-law, Tanya; granddaughter, Sophie Speaks and grandson, Evan Speaks, all of Brandon; and a son, Mike Speaks of Syracuse, New York.
Mrs. Speaks is preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Speaks.
A graveside service will be Sunday, March 17, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Pearl River United Methodist Church Cemetery on Old Rice Road in Madison, Mississippi. Rev. Elijah Friedeman will officiate.
